Make a Blanket Chest – New Professional Free Plans for Jon Peters Woodworking Projects

Hey guys, I’ve always provided Free plans for all my woodworking projects. Now I’m excited to announce that Brian Benhem will be re-designing my hand drawn plans on SketchUp to make my woodworking projects easier to follow and get more people out into the shop.

I built this blanket chest in 2014, and since then the project has become one of my most popular woodworking series. It’s great to see that so many people used my original how-to videos and hand drawn design plans to build their own version of the blanket or toy chest.

I’m now offering everyone Free SketchUp plans from the talented woodworker and professional designer Brian Benham. Subscribe on my website to get the Free 18 page project plans emailed to you:

  1. I'm currently making a small entertainment center that sits under my TV that's inspired by this build 🙂 Cool to see it pop back up in my feed.

  2. 4 years ago i made this in furniture making school in the netherlands. my whole class was like, where did you get these awesome plans? And i told them from jon peters on youtube a while later even the teacher made drawings, based on the video to teach other 17 – 20 year olds to make it. It was awsome. My niece still has the chest for her toys in her room. Thanks jon. (:

  3. Congratulations on the beautiful work, Jon. All your projects are very good !. Especially this project (Blanket Chest) I took as inspiration and of course, I gave the model credit to you. Thank you.
