2019 Shop Tour / Meet the Maker ( Built by Chris ) is a new thing I’m doing to present some cool Makers as well as including a Shop Tour in with the interview.
Chris is a Melbourne based Woodworker who occupies a 2 car garage as his Workshop and its really well organised. Chris is a Woodworker whom has many excellent projects under his belt and is always exploring new avenues in diversifying his skills.
This type of content is what I am proud to highlight to the viewer the talented people that are in our community and you will get the opportunity to meet them.
I hope that you enjoy the video, cheers Sumo.

  1. G’day folks, I would personally like to thank Chris for allowing me to do this first time special of Meet the Maker & Shop Tour, please Subscribe to β€œBuilt by Chris” on Youtube & support a great Maker, cheers Sumo πŸ»πŸ‘

  2. I like your shop Chris, it's DA BOMB! My equipment is all pretty old but like your self I put the Diablo blades on my old Craftsman table saw and my miter saw, made a world of difference, love it!

  3. Exciting presentation! Wonderful work! Wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but in a very good way! This ended up being a masterful work of art as it turns out! Very well done! Great job! Can not wait until your next one! πŸ‘

  4. Awesome video and interview. love the "if money was no object" question. although maybe limit it to a single tool or task – everyone wants an everything workshop. Can i have Adam Savages?

  5. Nice shop Chris very well organized. Dirk great series, like seeing other makers shops and skill sets and ideas. Good job to both of you!,πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘

  7. Texas ain't the only place that's hot. Our side of the globe has been a little warm lately also. Cheers John

  8. What a great guy to start off the series with – have been watching Chris since day one and he's really good.
Just wish my shop was even a fraction that organized !!

  9. That was fun, Dirk and Chris! My workshop free space area could fit on the area of Chris's table saw platform plus work table and I am not sure which is the greater – shelving space or working space! Whatever we have as a workshop it is a treasured domain where we can lose ourselves in a world inimical to us.
My love of making things was inspired by a book I read at the age of ten – called The Wheel. A lad sees a wheelwright making a wooden cartwheel, the whole process. The wheelwright lets the lad do some work of his own on the next wheel. I have never seen a copy of that book since and second hand bookshops have been home from home for me!!!
