  1. Safety Tip: Use router bits with bottom-mounted bearings when pattern cutting on your router table. In use, the bearing will be at the top. It's much safer than having a totally exposed blade spinning above your workpiece.
    If your fingers should slip while pushing the parts, they'll hit the bearing, not the spinning bit.
    A friend of mine, who used to be a professional cabinet maker, says he has seen the above-mentioned scenario a couple times and it is very, very messy. 😱
