  1. buy him nothing, but offer to clean his shop, it will take a day or two, but at least he will never find his tools again 😛

  2. my wife to actually be willing to buy me a present instead of playing 20 questions of "do you really need that" – yes that is every question

  3. Ask! That's my biggest suggestion. Get them something they actually want and use. It doesnt matter if its lame or not. You can always throw in a nice piece of wood or box of screws and surprise them with that. Or if you're getting them a tool they wanted get an assortment of blades/drivers. That can be the surprise

  4. The first one should come with giant asterisks. Don't buy them a tool unless you know them and their shop well enough to know exactly want they want. I give my husband carte blanche to buy me any of the tools he's heard me ramble on about wanting, and for bonus points, he points them out to my mother so she can get me stuff too. I suppose if you know exactly what they would want you wouldn't be asking Steve, but it's still a point worth making.

  5. Bench cookies from like Rockler or some other company they might call on bench dogs I'm still learning and maybe some headphones from isotunes they're also known as canceling and then they have the standard time that or not.

  6. Manual Pencil Sharpener…. forget those dumb electronic ones. They never sharpen well. And a 24 inch lathe… am I asking to much?

  7. good video with great tips. I will have to translate that in German to my girlfriend so that I in future get the gifts I want need an use.

  8. I have a Wishlist on Amazon and my whole family knows about it!!! Gift certificates are great, too, as is exotic wood.

  9. Gift cards would be the perfect gift for anyone. Home depot, Lowe's, Ace, wherever so they can buy whatever they fancy.
